Heart Walk 2008 - PLEDGE NOW!

On December 2, 2006, Wade (in the stroller below) was born with a congenital heart defect. His mom and my dear friend Melissa (on the right) began doing research to learn more about his condition and how she could help. She found out about the American Heart Association's 5K Heart Walk and started a Wells Fargo team...it was just the 3 of us (our friend Wendy is on the right) walking with Wade last March 2007. We're walking again on March 1, 2008 and plan to make this an annual tradition. If you'd like to make a donation, please visit the link below and search with my name to get to my donation page. Wells Fargo will match, dollar for dollar, every donation I receive. If you're interested in walking with us, let me know. We'd love to have you!

Super Bowl Party @ Mom & Dad's House...

WHAT A GAME!!! While everyone was cheering for the Patriots to win (mostly because of Junior Seau), Brian, the newest member of the family, was cheering for the Giants. What's up with that? Clearly, we were wondering (for a moment) why Julie married him! (JK, Brian) Even though the Patriots lost in the last 2 minutes, it was still an amazing game that included moments of happiness, yelling, head-shaking, hiding behind a pillow, nail-biting and much more. It will certainly be a Super Bowl game to remember!

"I think we're gonna win mom! This is so great!!!", says the 75 pound lap dog.
Emma straightened her hair today and now we're twins! To quote her, "You, me, you...we twins!"

Baby Shower for Kelli & Londyn

The hostesses with the pregnant mama....
The best part of any party...PRESENTS!!!

And now for the obligatory shower games. Round 1 - How many M&M's are in the bottle? Can you believe there were 273???

Round #2 - Use the yarn and determine how big Kelli's belly is. (Cruel joke) Of course, having never been pregnant before, I had the longest piece of yarn. It could've gone around Kelli twice! Sorry, Kelli!!!

What we do best....chit chat!

It was quite a spread! Fruit salad, chicken salad sandwiches, greek salad, bacon puffs and creamy artichoke dip.

January Cooking Light Club at My House!

What a fun night! The cooking light club now has a new name...the Chi-Dazzlers! (Blog to follow soon with recipes at http://www.chidazzlers.blogspot.com/ ) We've decided to do a Chili Cook-off in February (not cooking light) and came up with the name as a blend of the Chili we'll cook and the aprons we'll bedazzle (remember the Bedazzler???). Below, Erica makes a "fashionable exit" in her sandles with socks (in her defense, it was cold outside).
See...we really do cook!

Wendy takes a break to play with Magnum.
Erica and Rana making dessert...

Menu - Spinach Artichoke Dip with Bacon as an appetizer; BBQ Meatloaf and Salad for dinner; Oatmeal Apple Crip for Dessert.
